At Forensic Science & WildLife Matters, we provide schools, colleges and universities interactive and engaging forensic science workshops, lectures and presentations across Australia.
Wildlife forensic science workshops for younger students
For younger students, we offer on-site forensic workshops which provide an informative introduction into wildlife conservation matters and the importance that zoos play in animal preservation.
We introduce students to hands-on activities and exciting mock forensic wildlife cases to solve. They will learn about ecosystems, biodiversity and endangered species and how the role of forensic science is used in a wildlife investigation to collect clues to uncover the truth of the crime.
Our workshops are intriguing, practical and relevant. They provide the participants with an insight into the procedures and protocols used by a forensic biologist to investigate an animal crime scene and examine associated evidence. We have found that the students love the mystery of solving the crime, and all forensic techniques are explained in an easy to understand manner.
We aim to inspire the next generation to value the conservation of vulnerable mammals and the importance of preserving the biodiversity of mammals.
A truly unique, fun and educational experience for your students. It’s also stress-free as we come to you to bring forensic science to life in your classroom.
College and university forensic science lectures and presentations
We deliver presentations and lectures at colleges and universities concerning the application of forensic biology to forensic investigations.
We look at the science behind the investigations and cover forensic biology, examinations and case studies. During these practical sessions, students will solve a fictitious case using microscopical examination of animal hairs.
Our forensic science workshops are run by an expert forensic biologist
Our entertaining forensic science workshops, lectures and presentations are run by Director and Principal of Forensic Science & WildLife Matters Dr. Silvana Tridico – forensic biology expert and wildlife conservation biologist.
